It was storming outside for hours,
and only now has it subsided a bit.
One thunder roll was starting
before the previous one even ended.
Overlapping and unrelenting.
Layers of thunder,
with lightning every ten seconds or more.
The summer storms that rock the midwest
are starting a little ahead of schedule this year.
Summer isn't for another few days,
but the radio was repeatedly interrupted tonight
to warn about severe weather, tornados, and hail.
Oh yeah.... summertime hail.
That's a thing out here.
I spent my evening folding and addressing
the finished letterpressed mail art.
I was also hoping for the power to go out,
since I probably have the largest collection of oil lanterns in south minneapolis,
and they aren't exclusively old sexy house decorations.
The Blind Melon rib tattoo got finished this week,
and I also got a healed photo of Cody's mountain chest piece.
I have some time open in the next few weeks before I head east, so if you want a spot,
email me or call the shop.
I think I'm fully booked for my Off the Map guest spot mid July,
but there's always a cancelation list.
Then it's one trip after another till January.
Colorado, France, Oregon, and back to the east coast.
