Foot Time.

I did this little cuckoo clock on Bria's foot today,
as a tribute to her grandmother.
Super fun, and she sat so well.
(she also took the above photo,
which i stole from her facebook page)

I'm getting MY foot tattooed next week.
Mr Jon Sweet of Uptown Tattoo will be doing something for me.
My right foot, believe it or not,
is completely empty right now.
I'm not exactly sure why I'm getting it,
everyone knows those things never leave their boots.
But it'll be one of the best never-seen tattoos ever, I'm sure.

Three Footed.

If you have a foot fetish,
you missed out hard yesterday by not being at Identity Tattoo
I tattooed three feet,
and three feet only.

Ben got his tribute to pancake breakfast started,
and we outlined and shaded both feet.
I can't wait to give those some color in a few weeks.

Bex wanted a chubby little owl,
to go with the rest of the chubby animals she has.
Actually, some of them are just downright fat.
This was super fun to do,
even if tattooing a foot isn't the easiest body part to tattoo.
(or get tattooed)
But they both did well,
and I didn't get any kicks to the face.

Weekend time, now.
Less feet in my immediate future,
more catching up on stuff before I head out West again.
I'll be doing a guest spot at GogueArt June21rst-24th,
and I'll post about that more in a bit.

Dead Birds Are (still) Sexy

Well, I'm back in town,
and back at Identity Tattoo.
I felt the only way to transition from Grants Pass to Maple Grove
was a little sexy dead bird tattoo,
so this happened.

Adam M is a tattoo-getting pro.
He sat like a rock through this,
despite a bazillion interruptions.
I guess everyone got taxes back while I was in Oregon?
The deposits and appointments are flooding in.

He'll be wearing ballerina slippers this coming Not Casual Friday,
so if you're around,
it might be worth stopping by.
(to see him wearing slippers with skinny jeans and a tie,
i mean, not to see the tattoo)

So, yeah, I'm back,
but just for two weeks.
Then a week off leading up to our big art show March 11th and 12th.
There might be one or two appointments left before the 5th,
so if you need it, stop by (with a deposit).
The emails are piling up,
and I'm behind on returning phone calls.
And I don't expect to get caught up on life till the end of March.
No kidding.
But no matter how busy I may be,
they'll always be time for dead birds.
(thanks adam)

Foot Gremlins

Sounds like a funky fungus.
Don't get it wet,
it'll multiply.

Rachel wasn't even born yet when this movie came out,
but she's pretty into it.
I think I'm going to have to rent it again,
it's been a while.
Mid 80's comedy/horror, weird puppets,
Cory Feldman, a ruined Christmas/holiday movie,
some easy rules to follow that the white people can't follow
(or don't take seriously),
kinda dark-but still marketed to kids:
What's not to like?

A little bit of tattooing

Today I was able to do a few really, really fun tattoos on some rad folks.

Amanda lives in Savannah, Georgia these days, and is about to graduate from the very art school that I dropped out of.
So we shared stories of muggings, graffiti, jail, cockroaches, street wolves, Circle Takes the Square, and other little known facts about the poorly named "Hostess City".
Her and JoeJoe and I had an awesome time, AND I got to do a Blue Footed Booby WITH antlers.
Man oh man.

Then Sidney had to add to her "too cute" tattoo collection, by getting this T-Rex on the foot.
I didn't get kicked in the head, and she got her tattoo, so we both felt like we won.
