I have been working like a crazy person.
(like a crazy person with a job?)
So many big scale pieces are being started and getting worked on, lately.
I don't even know where it came from,
but somewhere around mid-february,
I just started getting bombarded.
and....it's pretty rad.
Here's two pieces that I'm stoked on, recently:
The first is Meryl's sleeve.
We have gotten 3 sessions in this last month,
One for the whole outline,
and two for background shading.
We're ready to start color,
and I'm pretty excited.
We've been playing with the idea for a sleeve
with a fox, or multiple foxes;
and finally, after a year,
decided on a sleeve of ghost foxes and japanese floating lanterns.
We did some sketches,
and played with marker on her arm,
and finally got it all figured out.
I think we're at 13(ish) hours so far?
I also started this leg sleeve this week.
Jen wanted a selkie on her calf,
but it needed to be a little bigger than that,
so I just filled the rest of her leg.
She was a trooper, and we only got started at 8pm one night,
and got maybe 3.5 hours in so far.
I've been tattooing all day and drawing all night, for real.
I haven't had much (if any) days off in well over a month.
If you don't stop by the shop,
come to vegan pizza on mondays,
or stay at the Louderhorn Inn some nights,
I haven't seen you.
If I've been a poor excuse for a blogger,
or an email replier,
now you know why.
The first time I'll be seen outside of Powderhorn
will be for Hell City Tattoo Convention in April,
and I hope to have a whole new portfolio for then.
