Plowing through July.

This week was bananas.
ba na na s.
I got to the shop early and stayed late almost every day,
even as the rest of the shop had serious vacation time.
The fourth of July was my only not fully booked day,
but then I had this dead dove walk-in that kept me super late.
I'll work on it some more in August when I get back from the East Coast.

Last weekend Tod Seelie was in town.
I've been a fan of his photography and adventures for many years,
and it was awesome to finally meet him.
Meryl and I took him on a way-past-midnight bike ride around town one night,
I tattooed a memorial crow's foot on his hand,
and he crashed at Louderhorn Inn before heading back to Brooklyn
(and then to raft down another river with the Rockaway crew).

This weekend at Louderhorn Inn,
Handsome Adam moves in for an extended stay.
What?
Back in the 612?
Yup.
He arrives just as I head down to Nebraska City, Nebraska,
to drop off Meryl at her residency.
Then only two more days at Identity before I head east.

Time is running out,
and slipping away.
I have no idea how it's this far into July, already.
My to-do lists and my calendar don't match up.
There's some overlap,
but mostly just overflow.
